  • 5 Rules For Ryan

Five rules for Ryan we instituted this week.

    1. Playing and speaking nicely with Jacob.
“I did not hit, did not take toys, and did not yell at Jacob.”
    2. Obeying Mommy and Daddy.
“I obeyed when it was time: to leave, to get dressed, to go potty, to
take a nap , to put away toys, and to go to bed.”
    3. Acting politely at meals.
“I spoke nicely about the food and ate what Mommy and Daddy told me
      to eat.”
    4. Making requests politely.
“When I wanted something, I said, ‘May I please’ and did not whine.”
    5. Greeting adults politely.
“I looked at the person’s eyes and said ‘Hello I’m Ryan.  It is nice to meet you’ and shook their
      hand.

If he does these things, he gets stickers.

  • Super-duper happy

Ryan: I am super-duper happy because dinosaur is going to turn into a Snoopy because they think he is doing a very good job!

  • Ryan on pony rides: “Mommy, what are you going to ride in the horse race?”

Ryan about riding a pony: But I am not very good at riding a horse.  I only ride pretend horses.
Me: But Grandma will be there and we will walk next to the horse and it will go nice and slow.
Ryan: But is it a baby horse?
Me: Yes, it is a pony.
Ryan: But is there a mama horse?
    Me: Yes.
Ryan: Is Grandma going to ride the mama horse?  [Amy walks in the room].  Mommy, what are you going to ride in the horse race?
