I got these recommendations from the following two books:
I have generally been posting the books we order from the library at the Library Books category on this blog. We find that the books recommended in A Time to Read and The Read-Aloud Handbook are far better than the ones we pick while browsing at the library. We are thankful that Durham County Library lets people "request" books online and then go pick them up. Our boys will also listen to books on audio (tape and CD) though they much prefer to be read to.
They have enjoyed recently:
which are cute songs
and
which are silly (and a bit edgy) stories from the public library.
Jungle Jam stories (we have listened to probably ten of their CD's) from the church library are also good.
Veggie Tales CD's from the church library have also been great with the following one being our favorite.
They of course also beg for Veggie Tales DVD's from the public and church library and we have been watching the Winter Olympics a bit.
