Duke University's outdoor swimming pool on Central Campus at Mill Village has been open since the end of April. It is for people with a valid DukeCard and their families. Hours: Mon-Sat 10 am – 9pm; Sun 1-9 pm. Correction for 2013: Summer Hours 12-8pm. It is not zero-depth pool. It is mostly for lap swimming and then an open area that is about 3 or 4 feet deep. They have swim noodles for kids.
We read these stories to Ryan when he was four. They were delightful. It is really a shame that Winnie is known as a baby thing. These stories are witty enough for adults to love them. They are not quite written in a style to be read aloud so sometimes you have to insert, “Pooh said” or “Rabbit said” and the introduction is confusing for kids but otherwise these are memorable and worthwhile characters and stories you won’t want to miss.
