Congratulations on your new born!
God’s blessings on your family.
Andy,
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Justin & I had our daughter on May 7, so they’re almost exactly the same age! I’ve been reading to Evelyn at night when she nurses to get into the habit of reading to her. However, I’ve been very disturbed by the Bible story book’s interpretation of scripture. (I’m using the old Vos Children’s Storybook Bible that my parents gave us.) The picture of eschatological hope is heaven “where the good people and angels live” and the dualistic nature of human beings is focused on rather than imago dei in the creation story of humanity. What Bible story books do you and Amy use? What have you been particularly satisfied with? I know this isn’t particularly a church leadership question, but it is a question for the church.
Thanks.
Joy,
Yes, I’m glad you subsequently found my piece:
