I don’t take naps these days

Ryan to the babysitter last night as she was putting him to bed: "I don't take naps these days" (which he does).

Babysitter: "But this isn't a nap.  It is bedtime."

Ryan: "Then I guess I'll just sit on my bed."

Babysitter: "Ok, goodnight."

She didn't hear another word from him.

Jacob is crawling backwards which is a good sign.   He may crawl yet.

Ryan likes playing with gorilla and his Little People trees and Diego's motorcycle.

Ryan and Jacob went to Carrie's house in Raleigh.
Ryan: "We should get a baby girl" (like them).
Amy: "How would we get one?"
Ryan: "Take theirs."

In the morning, I did a lot of shouting preemptively: "No, I don't want to go potty!  No, I don't want to eat breakfast!  No, I don't want to get dressed!  No, I don't want to go outside!  No, I don't want to listen to music!  No, I don't want to wash my hands!" and on and on and on.  Ryan, learning that the phrase wasn't that cool coming from dad's mouth, didn't say it much today.
