In order to get Ryan in the car, I have been letting him go out and sit in the driver's seat in the final few minutes before we leave to go somewhere. This accomplishes the dual purpose of getting Ryan out of the door and entertaining him. It has developed however to a level that is worth noting. Typically he has "needed" his sunglasses but today needed first a travel coffee mug and a cell phone. Amy's response: "That's incriminating." (Jacob loves the phones as well).
I put a little water in the coffee mug but Ryan immediately (accidentally) poured it all over himself and we had to change his shirt. Ryan: "Let's pretend without the water."
Before leaving for Target, I explained to Amy the kind of antiperspirant I have been buying – the two pack Degree – because it is cheap of course. I showed her.
While in the Target aisle, who should find it? Ryan: "There it is. That is the one daddy wanted!" He was so proud. We hadn't even known he was listening. When he got home, he was very excited to show me what he had found for me.
Yesterday we found Motorcycle Man in the a crack in the car and got a Batman in the Cheerios box. Today Ryan had them sitting with him in his Target cart. Later . . . "Where's my mens?" Amy and Ryan looked and looked but they couldn't find them.
Ryan played drums with his wooden spoons and Tupperware. He is also quite interested in the cheese slicer and cheese grater.
Jacob continues his crawling training regimen.
Amy went on a walk with the two of them in the morning with a friend. She also took them to the park this evening. Amy found a Duke outfit for Jacob at Target! She also got him Swimmers (diapers) so he is ready for the pool.
